Namor McKenzie (/ˈneɪmɔːr/), otherwise called the Sub-Mariner is an anecdotal person showing up in American comic books distributed by Marvel Comics. Appearing in mid 1939, the person was made by author craftsman Bill Everett for comic book packager Funnies Inc. At first made for the unreleased comic Motion Picture Funnies Weekly, the person previously showed up freely in Marvel Comics #1 (cover-dated Oct. 1939), which was the main comic book from Timely Comics, the 1930s–1940s archetype of Marvel Comics.
During that period, referred to antiquarians and fans as the Golden Age of Comic Books, the Sub-Mariner was one of Timely's main three characters, alongside Captain America and the first Human Torch.
